DIFFICULTY WITH BRAKES?

GSD male 14mnth aggressive over food or anything he is possessing. However with vebal command he drops it and its mine for the taking ( not with food ). When I stepped on a paw, I thought I was going to get eaten( I knw other subject ). He listens to every vebal command with a happy attitude. You have a great GPA(if its unweighted), if you have some EC's you'll do fine....Are you in-state or out of state...most of the people(75%) who attend the school are out of state...which in my opinion is high for a public university. If your instate your chances probably will increase, but if your out of state it won't hurt you too much, I think you'll most likely get in....Burlington is a nice town its on a bay, been their before but never lived there though.

Help!! There's something seriously wrong with me!?

Okay,so! I'm only thirteen (female) and First of all i had broken aches on my feet! Then I had one leg longer then the other but only by an inch! Then I have reflux problems! Now I have stomach ache every day and I have back ach which differs from place to place (including lower back, shoulders and neck) I once cricked my neck when I was ten and now it stiffens up twice a month! The doctors all keep saying "it's growing pains!" then they say "leave it 6 month and see how it gose!" then they say "it's you posture!" when I look around and I'm sat up straiter then the doctor! I'm sick of this! Once I was told I would get a letter telling me to come have a CT scan and it would arrive within 1week! 3weeks later it hadn't shown we rang up the hospital and they said "oh yes sorry it's just on the desk I'll send it first class!" but it still didn't come! Until we rang again and then it came! I mean what's with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So can any one point out any tips please do! Oh yeah I have had trubles with my back since I was 10 but no one knows what's up with me! And im starting to think i crazy!

Level 1 MCL tear healing process?

A month and a half ago I was running down a sand dune, went to turn, twisted my inner knee and heard a pop. My symptoms the following morning: deep sore stiffening pain, unable to fully extend, sharp pains if attempting pivot, swelling of the inner knee. I went to a doctor who then sent me to an orthopedic doctor. He said to wait it out a couple weeks, probably only a ligament rather than cartilage or tendon. Symptoms persisted. The sharp pains started to lesson. Still very unable to extend leg two weeks later so I returned to the orthopedic doctor. ( By this time it had been nearly a month since the injury. ) He sent me to get an MRI. He read my results to be that I have a level one MCL tear. He said i should ride a bike and do aquatic exercise. One friend is telling me I really need physical therapy in order to work my leg back to the point where I can extend it fully. The doctor did not mention this. I am also a little broke from all the doctor bills. My questions: Are there certain stretches for my situation? Are there things I can do to speed up the healing process? Is walking on it bad, at this point do I need to be resting it a lot still? (My doc said at this point it is just up to the amount of pain I can take) At what point should I be worried if I am still unable to extend it? It is still very sore, stiff and a little swollen. Are ligament tears meant to heal on their own? (My doc said it may take from a month to four months)-- any personal experiences with this on what to expect? sounds like a panic attack. google it and read up on symptoms and ways to calm down from them. if this is scaring you and happening often, see a doctor asap. panic attacks are common and can come on even if you've never had them before or if you feel like you can handle the stress (because maybe subconsciously, you can't). but im no dr, so get checked out if its scaring you.

A young friend of mine is experiencing similar episodes where she blacks out altogether then her body convulses and shakes violently until it settles itself. She has no recollection of each episode and has been undergoing testing for several years now. Apparently, if the location of the source can be determined, there are ways or neutralising it and thus ridding her of the episodes for life. WHY IS ALL FOUR OF MY DOG LEGS STIFFENING OUT?

My dog is an Akita mix and she is 6 months old. her legs would look shaky and the muscles in her legs moves in an unnatural way then her legs would stiff out for about 30 sec and then the will go back to normal. sometimes it gets really bad and all four legs will be stiff and then she would collapse because she can't hold up her self. days when it is bad she would just lay all day. it does not seems like if she is in any pain but it is painful to watch her in that condition. i took her to the vet an they say it might be seizes but it does not add up because she is not out of it she still knows what is going. they want to give her a shot for seizes but they have to nutter her. what else can i do to get her well again besides the shot?

I would have them check for mitochondrial diseases. There is over 300 of them. My son has had 9 years of seizures (never controlled) and just this month January was diagnosed with POTS (his body can no longer regulated blood pressure and heart rate. His heart rate ranges from 40-182. Blood pressure is real low. He is now on 2 blood pressure medicines that is helping prevent his fainting episodes. His new doctor a POTS specialist believes he has a mitochondrial disease that started the seizures and POTS. Sounds like you have lots going on which might describe a mito disease? If they can find the mito disorder you might be missing an enzyme that then can be supplemented and be able to get better.

I don't know about the Aspergers or anything, but I would walk away when my kids threw a tantrum. A tantrum thrower is like a mini terrorist - they want an audience and a reaction. Take both away, and the point of the tantrum is lost. If she follows you, pick her up and put her in a time out spot and walk away. Tell her firmly and calmly "no" and that when she calms down she can come in the kitchen and have a drink with her sister and you. i have a computer but it is in a different room then my xbox. i want to get a dazzle or a hd pvr so i can record but my cables cant reach to my computer, is there any possible way i can record mw2 gameplay when my computer is in a different room then my xbox 360s?

Horse resisting leg aids?

My 5 year old gelding is resisting my leg aid. Whenever I apply the aids he puts his ears back, head up and stiffens his body in the trot and he begins to resist going forward. Whenever I ask for the canter aid he often kicks out (this did develop into a serious bucking issue which I used the "circle" method to stop him from bucking) and now he will often just kick out and rarely a buck. Sometimes he doesn't kick but he is still resisting the aid and often he will fall into the canter and rush. Another issue is sometimes he will just ignore my leg (especially on the right rein) and not listen at all (but this will eventually develop again into him misbehaving). I would like some suggestions on what I can do to help him accept my leg.. he is an extremely sensitive horse and I am hardly using my leg at all, it is a very light squeeze and I mostly ride him from my seat. When I was on the ground I found another thing that was unusual.. when I put pressure in the spot where my leg would be he would put his ears back and turn his head to me (but I am certain he is not sore in any way, we have had the vet check this).. What could be the problem and what can I do to fix the situation?

So, I'm 13, and I don't feel that great. My joints feel like they're tightening/stiffening and I'm sore all over my body. I've had a headache for the past few weeks on and off too. My mom said I might have lyme disease, but I checked for a rash and I saw none. Simple every day actions like walking up the stairs or even coughing are somewhat painful now and I move slower because my knee joints and arm joints are sore and slow. Is this an anxiety attack?

My neighbor has an 18 yr old son. The mom described one of his "episodes". One time he was depressed for no reason, she talked to him at length but he couldn't pinpoint a reason why he felt this way. A few minutes later his back started to hurt badly, his hands stiffened up, and he was alot of pain. Other times it (the episodes) just show up, hands shake, he can't move, legs become weak and he's extremely upset and nervous, he says he's having trouble breathing. ER doc said it could be siezures or anxiety. The neurologist wants to do more tests. Does anyone have any idea what this could be or any experience?

I'm just wondering who I can complain to about mall security guards in westfield belconnen in Canberra. Yesterday, I felt they discriminated against me. You have the qualifications for both universities. I noticed you also previously posted about going into different universities in Florida. I am a graduate from the University of South Florida and working on a masters at the University of Florida and could provide additional information if needed on what the top programs are at each school. There are plenty of universities in Florida to chose from including: FAMU, FSU, UF, USF, UCF, UM, UWF, UNF, FIU, and FIT. More importantly than the "if" question, I recommend asking yourself where you want to go. You will get into at least 7/10 of these universities, at the minimum. However each university offers unique advantages. For example, going to USF I was able to volunteer at places like Busch Gardens and Lowry Park Zoo (which relates to career). I would never have gotten that opportunity if I had gone to Tallahassee! But majoring in politics, I would prefer FSU where I could be close to the government seat and get intern experience if possible. Another example would be if I wanted to work in marine biology, I would certainly prefer a university close to the ocean and not landlocked by over 30 miles!

Im only 23 im 6 foot 180 pounds the first time i messed up my knee was when i poped my left knee out doing pushups but i poped it back in and it healed fully by 2 months later.I lift weights and would do squats lunges and deadlifts and least 1 day a week and i was always running around and jumping around and playing sports.I banged the sides of my knees into weight benches alot in a tiny little weight room i use to workout in.and also when playing handball i twisted my knee if you know what i mean the only way i can explain it is my knee twisting from a suudden movement tried to make and it twisted and wa spain and was really messed up after that and would always be stiff it would heal a little then i would play football and stiffen and mess it up again.both my kness are a little messed up my left is much worst though if i try to stretch my left leg and lift my left leg up behing my but and pull my foot all the way back into my but i cant pull it all the way because of tension and pain in knee.somedays will be worst then others some days my knees will be more stiff some days their fell almost 100% which are not very much days.for example if i grab a ball and take a couple steps and throw it powerfullyas far as i can usually unless my knees are really good that day ill get a shooting pain in my left knee when i release it.I cant still run and play sports and still deadlift 400 pounds but im not 100% and somedays my kness will be really stiff especially if i have to sit in a small car bunch up in back seat.if i play tackle football the following days my knees will be reallyy stiff and sore.i do stretches toe touches and sit flat down and reach my toes which gives you that burning felling in your knees but i dont think these help.my right knee aint that bad but left can be pretty bad is their any way i can fix this without surgery

What history class should I take?!!?

I am going on to 10th grade and will need to take a history class. I want to take an AP class, either European History or World History. Problem is is that I don't know which one to choose. What should I major in?

I love languages, especially romance languages, and the way they break down. I study French, and I feel that I am good at it. I like English well enough, but not enough to major in it, and I don't want to do anything in the science/math field. I like history as well, but I'm taking an AP history exam so that I may not have to do it in college (since I don't want to be a history major). I want to minor in music, because I love it and I don't want to forget about it, but I don't want to take the risk of being a professional musician. my ankle was fine upto a few weeks ago, i was playing basketball on it one night but when i got home it just flared up again swelled up all of a sudden and got sore, i had to take tablets for relief from the soreness. that was a thursday night a couple of weeks back then on the saturday i still had it only this time my whole leg got quite stiff the only thing that kept my leg from stiffening up was when i walked a bit on it, at the moment i have a weakness in the lower back of my leg i feel it when i stand on it my leg feels wobbly at times, sometimes i do have a cracking noise in my leg/foot and i do get a sharp pain in the back of my foot.

I'm starting a new year in high school in two months and I'm worried. First, there's two "math" teachers at my school that I might get. Ones name is "Georgia" and the other is "Sue". Well, Georgia is pretty nice but a loud mouth and makes everything hard and talks about her kids all the time. She is odd too, and not in a good way. na your not dumb. the act is good but if you fail it that doesn't mean your not smart as you believe you are. alot of people fail test smart or not. it took me 3 times to get a good enough score on my act to get into college. mostly because i dont test well and i get nervous. although my act test scores were low i didn't think of myself as dumn. in fact im on the deans list at m school. best advise i could give would just try your best to study and come familiar with old materiel you learned in school. good luck

How do i get my horse to trust.?

I have a 3 year old paint gelding. I bought him after his owner died, but his owner had abused him when he was younger. Now he doesn't trust people. When i got him we had to fool him on the trailer with food, he didn't have a halter or anything on him. It took me about a week just to get a halter on him after we put him in a small pasture, even them the only way i got it on him was using food. Now he trusts me but no one else i can do just about anything with him. But i want to be able to ride him but he is so scared of everyone else that no one can help me break him. I broke my ankle 21/2 years ago why do my toes hurt now?

Dazzle blue screen error fix?

I have a Dazzle DVC100 and it has been working for over a year with my Latitude D620. However when I tried using it to record my Xbox360 one day, I got the blue screen of death. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers many times but I get the same result. However when I tried it on our Optiplex desktop, it worked fine. Anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this?

Rigor Mortis Question?

I'm studying anatomy and physiology and my lecturer told us about rigor mortis yesterday. We've learned about muscle contraction and how it happens etc. and from what he said i know that rigor mortis occurs about 4-6 hours after death. I know that this involves the body becoming stiff but i was confused by an example he gave us, of a body being pulled out of a river that had the arms stiff out the front (like a zombie). if the body was to stiffen when someone had died wouldn't the muscles stiffen in a relaxed way such as arms simply flat at your side? why would your arms go out in such a position? and if the arms do that, why wouldn't the legs!? can anyone explain this?

Could I get into an ivy league?

I am going to be a sophomore this coming year at a private school in the suburbs. This past year, as a freshman, I took the the three honors courses that are offered for freshmen (physics, geometry, and spanish) as well as history and english. My final grades were a B+ in history, B in geometry and physics, and A- in spanish and english. I participated in two theatre productions at school (during the winter and spring) and contributed to three clubs. Next year I will be in all honors, except for history. If I move up to AP history in the middle of next year or do all honors my junior year, what will my chances of getting into an ivy league or the equivalent, or even Oxford or Cambridge be like? I haven't taken the SATs or PSATs or anything like that yet but I will next year. Please keep in mind that I will have 60 hours or more of community service by the end of my senior year and most probably three activity credits for each of my sophomore, junior, and senior years. I also plan to raise my grades next year, as I am not particularly happy with them at the present. Oh and I think my grades make my GPA about 3.7. Thanks for helping!!!

Was this a demon? What should I do about it? It attacked me?

Basically what happened is me and my best friend L went to stay the night at her house. Her house is fairly old and we can feel the spirits in it, because there are several. There are 5 to be exact, and only 2 of them are evil. So we felt watched that night and when I was getting ready for bed it felt like someone was putting their hand an inch from touching my skin and moving along my arms and body. Then when we were sleeping L woke up and said she felt something in the room with us, 2 or 3 things. She said that we'd boh moved towards the middle of the bed and I was curled up in a ball asleep and she made herself move back to her side before falling back asleep. The next day we were talking in the tv room and one of the ghosts started making noises. We heard the sound of walking, of something tapping the walls, and the sound of it tapping things like glass on glass. We were the only ones alone in the house and we checked to make sure that no one was outside to make the sounds. Then we decided to walk around and experiment to see where the tappings had come from. I walked into the back bedroom and as soon as I hit a certain point in the room I felt nauseous and pressure on my skull. Something evil and very angry was watching me. I stepped into the bedroom and it felt like something was going to attack me but I backed out of the room and went to get L before it could. We came and she felt the same thing i did in that exact area in the hall, and we both felt like something was grabbing our vaginas. She went into the bathroom and found where the sound was coming from and I went to stand in the doorway to the bathroom. I felt something come up behind me and froze. It felt evil and then it attacked me. I felt pressure forced onto my head and my knees gave out and L says she saw me in the mirror as I sort of fell forward but then MY ghost grabbed me before I could fall to the floor. L said my head jerked back and it was like someone had pulled me against them. The thing that grabbed me just held me up and whatever had attcked me stepped back and watched. I could feel it thinking and it was more of an "really? You saved her, this should be interesting..." before it vanished. Whatever had saved me stiffened and I felt it clutch at my stomache and the vibe I got from it was an "ohhh **** I shouldn't have done that." Then I ran off and both things were gone. a little later the tappings and stuff started again but the evil thing was gone and when L took a shower she said something kept turning the heat and cold on and off. I heard tapping and the thing that saved me was back because it felt like he was patting me down to make sure I was ok. The evil thing didn't come back but we still felt watched. And the male thing that had saved me stayed with me for a while before finally leaving.What i want to know is was that thing a demon? And it felt like it attacked me specifically, so why me? It also felt like it was threatening whatever had saved me buy attacking me. I've been in L's house several times and this had never happened.

white is always good or even a white wash with distressed look. I really can't say without knowing the decor of the room. But with just that color in mind i think a nice stormy blue would look awesome (or possibly a charlcoal blue). If you don't like blue then maybe consider a maroon or if you really want it to pop paint it a pastel green.

When I go for walks, right above my ankle on the outer part of my leg, the muscle seems to really stiffen up and get sore. If I curl my foot inward (toward my other foot), I can feel it stretching the muscle or tendon or whatever it is. Is there a stretch I can do before I walk or something to get rid of this?

Hey I'm about to buy my first video capture card to record on my xbox 360. I'm going to buy a Dazzle Video Creator Plus HD. on amazon they go for $70 new... but like $40 or $50 used. What I'm wondering is, how are thes capture cards affected over time? If they've been used are they that worse then if new? Which should I go with, used or new? (Also, just out of curiosity, I just read a concerning review of it on Amazon saying the Dazzle Video Creator Plus HD DOESN'T actually record HD, its no different then the normal one. Is a 720 SAT math score good enough to get me into "alright" private colleges if my reading is 480?

I'm trying to see what kind of colleges I would be able to get into. I have a 3.76 unweighted GPA and will have taken five AP classes by the time I graduate. My grades have gotten better each year and I'm about to enter my senior year. My SAT scores are; math-720 reading-480 writing-480. I'm a varsity athlete but don't do much other extracurricular activities. Is thee any chance to get into a college like Willamette University, University of Portland or Lewis & Clark College. I will most likely improve my SAT scores next time i take them. I'm very strong in math and science as well.

How can i lose weight fast?!?

Why do strange things keep happening to me?

nearly every time i sleep in my sisters room something strange happens, ive hallucinated things crawling up the wall, and also on two separate occasions ive saw men standing at the bottom of her bed. Im awake just now at 4am because i cant sleep because of what just happened. I opened my eyes and saw a black swirl in the corner, where ive saw shadows before, then my vision went totally black and my body stiffened and shook, and my sister woke up because i was grabbing her and saying her name. Can't set up dazzle hd plus video creator?

Hey guys I just got a dazzle yesterday and I've been trying all day for it to work. I have double ended red,white, and yellow cables that plug into the dazzle and into the back of my HD tv. I also installed the Studio 14 software. After I plugged that in, It says " no input signal found." then I got a double headed s video chord and plugged it in as well. Still no signal! I'm so frustrated that it came with crappy directions, someone plz help before I return this!

My lab mix suddenly becomes aggressive?

in early september of 2010, me and my roommate went to the shelter and both got puppies a day after each other b/c our other roommate got a dog from there too.. my dog(as the rescue shelter says) is a lab/pitbull mix, and my roommates is a pitbull mix.(once again, what the shelter says. not sure what exactly they are because shelter obviously doesnt care enough to actually get it tested.) the lab and pit bull are pretty much the same age and have been living together since we got them. they were best friends and always used to hang around each other and sleep together.. my lab mix is a male and the pitbull mix is a female. they are both neutered and spayed. my dog has been around plenty of little puppies and full grown dogs and has been fine. but it all started when both of them had a piece of wood in their mouths and then they just started going at. now, randomly, when i go outside with my dog, even if the pitbull isnt looking he will stiffen up and i know he is about to growl and go after her so i know to hit him on the nose, say no, and bring him inside because if she knows hes doing it she will go after him too. he always starts it though. also he is a very shy dog, scared even. i think he used to be beat b/c he will not leave my side, i dont need a lease b/c hes too scared to run away, and when hes scared he hides behind me(so much for your dog would risk his life for you) im just curious why my lab goes after my roommates dog even though they used to be best of friends.. O also, my other roommates dog, is much older than the pitbull, is not neutered, and my dog gets along fine with him... my dog is well trained by the way.

the dc5 is definitely the way to go. the problem is nobody that has a type r would be crazy enough to sell it. a regular integra would cost a little more to upgrade to get the results you want, but its worth the money. the gti is by far the most sensible route. youll get good mileage and pretty well performance. i wouldnt get it if you could find any of the other car, though. the civic is another great choice. the only thing is that it too is hard to find. if you do find it for less than 7k, you should probably check it out first. for about 6k you could find a 95 camaro or firebird and get way better results than any of these. heck, a 97 mustang would do good, too. ao the gist of it is: the civic is the best choice IN YOUR SELECTION because it has great performance, but it is kind of rare. some other cars you might want to look at would be the '95-'03 mustang, ''99 camaro/firebird, '00 maxima, or any year of the BMW 3 series. all these cars listed are great performers and can be found at around 6k.

Health problems. do you recognize My symptoms?

the problem is when i am on my feet walking around. or sitting for a wile too. but mainly when i am on My feet. what will happen is when i first start walking around i am fine. feel great. about 15 to 20 mins on My feet i start to sweat for no reason. i get weaker and weaker. and My gut will knot up. after My gut knots up My legs fall weak like noodles and then My heart rate just races 200+ bpm. at this point i usually collapse. i have been checked out more than once during one of these attacks. My blood pressure is very high during these symptoms alone with the fast heart rate. after one of these events happen i usually don't feel any better till after sleep. sleep almost acts as a reset button for these symptoms. i have seen doctors and so far no answer. they have ruled out anxiety. that's what they thought it was at fist but they ruled that out. they ruled out heart problems too. they have not ruled out anything else yet. do you have any idea what could be wrong? do My symptoms sound familiar to you? i am also gaining wight. and i have also been having issues with My joints. all of them. My ribs My shoulders My neck My spine everything. they stiffen up and when i move them they have this crunching popping sound. it get is in My muscles too. i will get a stiff neck and when i tilt My head the neck muscle itself will crunch and pop its almost as if My muscles are solidifying themselves. its hard to explain but that is the best description i can give. what the heck is that? i also have had a stress test done. 2 mins and i about collapsed. super high B.P. and heart rate. i used to Be an athletic. i played baseball raced BMX ran track. so that stress test was really not good. but they couldn't tell Me anything. How do you respond when someone accidentally does something traumatic to you?

I've had a similiar experience when I was very little. My uncle's friend, and family friend, kept tickeling me...I started out laughing, but then I couldn't handle it anymore and couldn't even cry because I was that worked up. Finally when he stopped he could see that I wasn't joking or laughing and I was bawling. I was around 4-5, but I let it go. There are now so many students getting great grades, it is more likely that the uni will choose not only the one with the best grades but also the person who has done the most extra curricular work and of course better schools often have more money so they offer more opportunities to their students. If you go to a not so good school, you could also do some voluntary work helping younger students or something totally outside of school to show you have initiative and good people skills

New Challenger SRT8 problem?

I bought a brand new Challenger SRT8 which has repeated problems with the external belt. I drove it out of the car showroom for less than 50 miles when the car temp increased rapidly, and the steering wheel starts to stiffen up. Too soon to put my dog down? Help!?

well i completely understand your situation and i can sympathies with u, my dogs are everything to me i just love them so much i cried for days knowing that my babies were gone. the same thing happened to my dog Sarrie, who was a Australian Terrier, it started when she 15, it it didn't really happen to often, maybe once every now and again but by the end of it she was having 1-2 or even 3 times a day, she would just all of a sudden stiffen up and lye on her back then shake, sometimes she would even vomit, after a year of this we did get her put down at 16 but only because she went into liver failure (cause by many other health issues she had, the seizure had nothing to do with it). The only thing with seizures is that they don't cause the dog any pain but someone really needs to be there always keeping an on on him because he could have a seizure any where(Sarrie collapsed on the pavement and hit he head :( ) and when they wake up they are extremely disorientated they don't no what just happened to them or where they should or do next, every time they have a seizure it kills of brain cells, with Sarrie she began walking into walls and trying to figure out what is was by standing there looking at it. Just remember a dog will never forget its master even if it has lost million of brain cells, deaf, blind, anything really it's really up to u though if you want to go to the extra effort of managing the seizures and comforting your dog though i think 11 is quite a young age a dog has to be put down, my oldest dog at the moment is 15 and she is so energetic and full of life and she still goes on long walks plays with our dogs and other dogs to so we would never put her down unless she was in pain. u should really only put a dog down if its for the best though i really think he has a lot more years left in him if ur willing to give that extra care and support :) people can say its the best thing to get your dog put down which would be true if he was in any pain what so ever but if he isn't feeling any pain then i think that would also be just as cruel to get it put down for no reason he just needs some extra care when he comes out if the seizures, give him some pats let him sit down some where and just comfort him its just like in humans they forget where they are and what just happened to them and they feel NO pain

You can take any two subject test. Take as many AP classes as you can. It shows that you challenged yourself. Yes, you can get in with A's and B's, but that's no excuse to slack off. Try to get the higest grade possible. AP classes shouldn't cost money, but AP exams do. Yes, do extracurricular activites that you love and holding an office in the club will help. I recommended that you volunteer as soon as possible. Volunteer at somewhere that you like. Because volunteering is a really good thing to do no matter what. Yes you have to take a foreign language at highschool. Unless your highschool is different. No you don't have to go to a private school to get into Harvard. If you want to get in you have to stand out! Everyone applying might be number one in their class or have one million hours of volutenner hours(which isn't a bad thing). Oh and do good and the admissions essay. I'm sorry I couldn't answer all of your questions, but i'm kind of in the same boat. But I hope this helped a little.

Should I take the SAT if I did bad on the ACT?

I have taken the ACT twice and I got a 27 then a 29. Should I take the SAT and see if I do better or take the ACT again? I seem to do well on Collegeboard tests like the AP tests (I got a 5 on one and I think I did well on 2 I took this year) and the SAT is from the collegeboard. Also should I take the subject tests if I want to apply to Notre Dame to increase my chances of acceptance since my ACT score is too low.

We had to get rid of our dog when my daughter was born. The dog was jealous of my daughter, started to eat her clothes and I assume the dog disliked her. Our next door neighbours now have the dog so it worked out well :)

Every time my fingers get cold the joints hurt and my fingers will stiffen and make it harder to bend and use them properly. What causes this?

My puppy has lymes disease and is having trouble walking just within the last few days.?

please help. any advice is good advise. my puppy is nine months old and i have good reason to believe that he has lymes disease. I just got him a little over a month ago and he just began to show signs of stiffening joints (he limps while walking on his front leg) he shows no sign of other pain though. i cannot get him into a vet until monday and I need to know a few things. judging by his condition, how long has he been exposed, also what special needs should i tend to in the mean time while he cannot see a vet. lastly what should i get done at the vet to help the most? this is very important to me, he is like my child. thank you all for your help!

Wow ! you have true motivation. This is really impressive and it really looks like you want to follow real ambitions and make a differerence in your life. Keep up the positive attitude. So here are a few things to watch out for: Make sure you have a 4.0 GPA every single term and every single year. A- and A+ just get turned into A's on the final report card. So as long as you can maintain a status quo of more than 90% in all subjects that would look great on your application though it is hard. Secondly, make sure you can join enough clubs, around 3 or even two is fine. Make sure you are actively involved in one club at least and try to run for officer and get elected. Thirdly, be involved in a sport or two. If you aren't the athletic type much, try out for a simple sport like badminton or something. It will be easier on you,and it looks good on your college application. Have good impressions with all of your teachers. Ok, the AP courses: Most people just think that they can wing it. AP takes a lot of time to do homework for and study for. As soon as you come home take no more than a half an hour break to get ready for studying. You will have to squeeze all this in and if you can manage your time well, you will do great. I know this seems really overwhelming, but by the time you are done with high school, you will be in a great college. And 1400 is not at all a bad start for a seventh grader.My brother took the SAT in 7th grade and he got a 1750. But its still pretty good. Apply for different competitions and try your best in science and math bowls. All these things along with your personality and your desire to learn will help you get into a good colelge. All the best ! It is a long journey but you will make it. :-) And btw neurologist is a very prestigious profession, I would suggest you go for it. My bicep area stiffens alright. However, my chest and tricep area remains flabby. I feel the work out in my tricep area but nothing is developing. Also my chest area only seemed to feel worked out when I started push ups a few months ago. Now I feel nothing in them. I'm thinking of those chin up things, but what could I use in place of a bar if I don't have one?

Pain in front sides of my neck?

Ok so here it is. No neck injuries. A few months ago I started having pains on the sides of my neck beside my windpipe, around halfway down between my jaw and collar bone. It happens on both sides, more on the left side than the right side. It isn't a severe pain and is not constant, they are quick pains that happen frequently some days and some days not at all. I was referred to an ENT doctor about it and he said that although he wasn't sure what it was that it wasn't cancer, he had never seen cancer present that way. I was diagnosed with TMJ as a teen and although I do not grind my teeth I do clench them frequently, I also have anxiety that results in tense muscles, I have bursitis in my shoulder on my right side, and back pain, I work at a furniture store and spend most of my time at my desk chair or on the phone. In my living room my couch is angled straight and my tv is caddy cornered so I have to turn my head or body to the right to watch it. I do not know if any of these could be related. I had my thyroid checked about 6 months ago and the levels were fine and I do not feel any lump on my neck. Sometimes when I do have a pain at my neck it shoots sideways and I get a quick pain at my ear. Also some days my neck stiffens on the left side. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they found out. I have panic issues about health so anything I can not explain worries me to no end. And i would like some idea on what this could be, I am leaning toward muscle strain but the ENT never mentioned that and since it is on the front of my neck and happen so quickly and then are gone, I wonder if it being tense muscles is even possible. The pain is in my neck not on my neck, if that helps anyone understand as well. Please anyone that can help it is much apprecaited!

Odds of acceptance in UCI?

GPA: 2.5 from sophomore year (parent's divorced....but that shouldn't be an excuse on why I slacked off) and 3.7 Junior year. SAT is 1800. I'm President of two clubs at my school. I do compete in Speech contest. I have an internship at a Pre-School and head photographer in school newspaper. Got Student of the Year in English. Taking 4 AP's total. & Took 8 classes in Junior year, taking 7 Senior year. I have over 250 hours of community service. Be honest ! (:

Becoming an Airline Pilot?

First, a pilot does not have a high end job in terms of pay, but i have never met a pilot that doesnt like what he/she does. every pilot loves flying. What i would suggest is take a few discovery flights in small aircraft to see if you like it first because it is a passion. The student pilot certificate is required to fly solo in a glider or balloon at age 14, but to fly powered solo you need that combined with an FAA class 3 medical. when you have that, you cannot fly alone unless endorsed by an instructor for your aircraft type. Junior pilots often start off on minor airlines doing dinky routes in regional jets. the captains often make 20k-35k per year. after you receive enough TT you can move up, but that wont be until 10 years or so. pilots always complain about pay, but they love their job so much they dont leave. its like the airlines are sucking them out of money because of their passion. They should make more; they fly multi million dollar aircraft and carry hundreds of passengers while working many hours a day and have time away from their family. i wrote an article about pilot licensing a while ago but i cant remember it all. wish i could help more

You need either an A/V out, or to get a video distribution amp to split the game A/V to the TV and Dazzle.

Is there a PVR besides dazzle that works with mac's and is 1080p?

I tried on by hupagge (or something spelled that way) and i turned out it was only for pc. I need one for mac because have one. I need an HD 1080p one because dazzle is only 720i and thats why people don't like the picture quality.

I can't canter correctly!!!!?

I can get my lease horse to canter, but I never sit down. I don't know why but I'm always bouncing around. If I bounce forward I freak out halt. I think it might be because I stiffen my knees. How do I get it to stop. If I really try to stop bouncing I end up standing up in 2-point position. Please tell me how to stop it!

How horrible are my chances of getting into Virginia Tech?

I'm going into senior year of high school and my GPA totally sucks at 3.35. I've taken honors/AP classes first three years. First time taking the SAT my scores were; Reading- 680, Math- 660, and Writing- 640. I'll take it again this Fall. I'd love to try and raise my GPA, but I guess I can't really because of it being my senior year.

ipad 2 is amazing! I never owned the iPad 1 so, I can't compare but, this one blows me away. The screen is clear and very responsive. It's easy to use and has so many features, it's just wonderful. Get one!

Why does America not allow parents to spank there kids?

When should a parent start using the rod of correction on a child that the Lord has brought into the family? There is no clear and specific answer to this very good question. However, it is my opinion that the correction of children should start as soon as the need for that correction is made manifest. Every discerning parent who has been blessed with a little child in his home realizes that his initial impression of the sweetness and the innocence of the child is in reality an illusion. A child very quickly demonstrates his fallen, depraved nature and reveals himself to be a selfish little beast in manifold ways. As soon as the child begins to express his own self-will (and this occurs early in life) that child needs to receive correction. My wife and I have a general goal of making sure that each of our children has his will broken by the time he reaches the age of one year. To do this, a child must receive correction when he is a small infant. Every parent recognizes that this self-will begins early as he has witnessed his child stiffen his back and boldly demonstrate his rebellion and self-will even though he has been fed, diapered, and cared for in every other physical way.

Would it be worth it to take a math class again next summer?

Ok, so right now I am an incoming freshman taking Geometry over the summer so that I can be in Alg. 2 in the Fall. The math classes at my school are only Algebra 1, Geo, Alg. 2, Math Ana., Calc AB, Calc BC, and Stats. I would take up to Calc BC (AB is a prereq for it). So, basically I was wondering if it would be worth it to take Math Analysis next summer to be able to take AP Stats. Would it make a big enough difference? It's a 1000 bucks and yeah, I'd rather be elsewhere, but I'd do it only if it makes a difference. ( If I don't do math, I'd start doing SAT prep stuff over summer.) Also, I am planning on taking 10-11 AP classes total already (not including Stats). And I am pretty sure I can't double up because we only have 6 periods, AP classes are limited so it is hard to fit them all in a schedule(my schedules look tight so I couldnt take 2 math classes in a year), and AP science classes take 2 period each day and I plan to take all of them.

How get my daily 500 calorie burn in?

I've been trying to lose weight for quite some time now, and I have made some progress, but I still want to lose 10lbs before I will be totally satisfied. I REALLLYYY want to lose it by June 2-3.. and I think with hard work I can do it, even if the last lbs are the hardest :/ Anyway, I have been slacking off lately due to Easter, birthdays, graduations, and other celebrations (darn cake...) and I was planning to really crack down tomorrow. Well, my luck, I was practicing my front aerials on my trampoline and something went wrong and I stiffened my leg and rammed it into the trampoline bed, which I am pretty sure hyper extended it, if not its badly stretched. Awesome. So, theres no way I can run or bike for at least the next few days. I don't have any time to waste whatsoever, so Im still going to try and get in my 500 calorie burn per day, I just don't quite know how. I am going to be staying home from school since I can barely walk, and my mom will probably make me stay in bed most of the day. I am planning on eating nothing but fruits and veggies for the most part, and I was considering doing situps or pushupsb (i can kinda tuck my leg above the other one so it doesnt hurt..its hard but I can manage) to burn calories. I know they burn close to absolutely nothing, but it's better than laying in bed all day. So, how many situps/ pushups would it take to burn 500 cals? Or if you have a better idea, please share.
